Need Help?
Wanted: Youth Leaders and Mentors!I feel more confident, more focused on what I want to do and how I can help lead a community to make a difference.” This is only a small peek into what it’s like being a participant in A Rainbow After the Storm. This leadership program is specifically for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and Allied (GLBTQA) youth, ages 15-18. It starts with a 30-hour classroom and hands-on training and then leaders are matched with mentors who provide guidance and opportunities to expand their horizons. We are accepting applications for new youth leaders (through May 9) and for new mentors (through June 9). Click here to learn more about this exciting program!

Meet Aundrea Billings, Intern of the Month  “Interning has given me a tremendous number of opportunities to grow as a professional and to learn from people who are really passionate about what they do. Family & Children's Service is an amazing organization that helped solidify that I want to be a part of a nonprofit that contributes to bettering societal conditions for so many people.”  Our internship program has grown from 1-2 interns per semester to nearly 20 this summer, including Somali and Spanish speaking interns. We have undergraduate and graduate students helping us with communications, community organizing, youth programs and volunteer engagement.
